Who invented the e-commerce online shopping?



In 1979, English inventor and entrepreneur Michael Aldrich invented the online shopping process, which allowed consumers to buy products and services online from businesses and other organizations. Michael Aldrich invented online shopping in 1979, but it wasn't until the Internet that it really took off. Aldrich's technique later became known as online shopping, and it didn't really take off until the Internet. Aldrich's system connected a modified local television to a computer to process transactions in real time using a local telephone line.(Historyofinformation, 2022)

While working at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory, Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web, an Internet-based hypermedia endeavour for international information exchange. In 1990, he created the first web client and server. As web technology advanced, his standards for URIs, HTTP, and HTML were improved.
